one last blog post.

Posted by Michael Jacob | Thursday, July 02, 2009

On July 4, two days from now, Michaeljacobblog.com will be over. This site can only be viewed on http://michael-jacob.blogspot.com/. And for more than one year on this blog, I say goodbye to it.

I say goodbye to blogging because I just can’t blog anymore. But I will probably be back, sooner than I think maybe.

I can’t blog anymore because of our new house. I mean, the way I blogged before is I’m just the only one in the room. Now it’s so hard to blog when people are around. Plus, my mom has these so many stuff for me to do for her.

So, this is probably my last blog post on this site. Maybe I’m gonna make another one in the future. Let’s see.

Goodbye,
Michael Jacob

my quiz on facebook: the explanation

Posted by Michael Jacob | Friday, May 15, 2009

I think I need to explain the answers on my facebook quiz. If you have not taken it yet, I think you should, if you want to know what the heck am I talking about.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NOT TAKEN THE QUIZ YET, DON’T READ THIS.

1) My laptop has all these features EXCEPT

The correct answer in this question is the HDMI port. I don’t know how any of you will know that one, and that’s why I called my test “The very hard test of…”

2) I reviewed this book when I was in High School.

It’s surprising most people answered “Ibong Adarna”. I did not reviewed that book, I studied it. The correct answer is “Danny Dunn…”. I got that book because we had a book review project during my 1st year high school, so when I was in the mall, I got this very small book, and that was the answer.

3) All this happened to me on LAX airport EXCEPT

The answer is “I wore my jacket the whole time.” Where in fact, I hardly ever did wear it when I was on LAX, and yes, all of the other choices there happened to me. One in particular is that, I gave $10 dollar to a stranger. It happened because, that man asked me if I know where am I going, and coincidently that time I was problematic about my next flight, because I still don’t have my boarding pass, so yeah, I asked him, but then after he said where, he told me, “Now I have a question for you! Do you want to donate?” It turned out he’s representing some charity. I don’t have any smaller bills than with 10 dollars, so yeah. Afterwards I think I was robbed. Haha, but I hope that money did helped someone. After all, he said “God bless my heart” when I left him. –_-

4) When I was a kid, all these happened EXCEPT

I did not sang 4 times on stage. I only sang once.

7) I look forward to these in the future EXCEPT

Answer is jesus! Yes, but I think all people answered “all people will be atheists”. Hello! I’m an atheist! And I love people with the same mentality as I am, so I do LOOK FORWARD into people being like me!

8) These shows for me are lame EXCEPT

Game KNB?. The show is original, has been here for some years now, and given millions of money to thousands of people, I guess.

9) What do I think of you lame people out there?

This question is given, you lamers.

so you believe we came from monkeys?

Posted by Michael Jacob | Thursday, May 14, 2009

Often, a Christian asks me that. Yes, I believe we evolved from monkeys. And Christians seems to be disgusted with the claim. So, I always ask them. “But you believe that we came from dirt?”

Normally they will pause for a second, and then they’ll say yes. They believe that we came from dirt.

I don’t get them at all. They treat me like I’m kind of a lunatic when it comes to believing that we came from monkeys, and we share 98% of our DNA, but when it comes to DIRT, which is the only relation I can get to is the dirt stuck in my foot right now, they seem to be ok with it.

They may also add “Hell Yeah, I came from dirt, but God created me.”

So what now, would you believe that God created you from monkeys? Will you now believe in that claim?

Of course no! You’re close minded, and not willing to believe other possibilities. So what now? Snake came from dirt too? How about fishes? They came from ocean salts?

Just think.

of course they tell me not believin in god is bad.

But then forcing someone to believe what they believe is completely right. Us infidels should be thinking twice.

the unfairness… part 2

Posted by Michael Jacob | Sunday, May 03, 2009

“I doubt if there are any atheists out there who reads my blog.” should have been “I doubt if anyone reads my blog.

after posting it, I felt more calm. I love blogging. Makes you feel like you have told someone about your problem. But as praying to God makes you feel comfortable and safe, well, unless someone replies with this I’m calling it fiction. (No, by you replying DO NOT prove God’s existence.)

Do I wish I’m a believer?

Of course I do. You have no idea how hard it is living with Christian people. You have to accept that they pray, you have to accept with their practices, their superstitious beliefs, etc. I could have exploded with all that stuff. Literally! But no, I made it.

But it will be much easier if I only didn’t became an atheist. If only I lowered my curiosity a bit, if I didn’t devoted my time searching for answers, and didn’t really been a loner that much, I could have been a devoted Christian!

But hell no, your ‘God’ planned me to be this way.

(sorry)

Oh I love blogging, I get to say a joke. Hehe

the unfairness of life.

Posted by Michael Jacob | Sunday, May 03, 2009

I’m an atheist. The one who does not believe in God. My mom just threw stuff at me a while ago. They’re forcing me to believe.

It is really unfair that they see me as a bad, stupid, child. They see me as the devil. I don’t know what to do, but saying those stuff to me I can only think of defending myself.

It’s really unfair if they say I should listen to them, but they won’t listen to me because they’re telling me it is a blasphemy. “The word of the devil.”

But I know I’m not the one who cursed someone today, said profane words, didn’t listen, and didn’t respect.

Of course, inside my mind they terrorize me. The ones who forces you to believe on what they believe. And if you don’t believe, they terrorize you. They terrorize you by telling that I will be in hell someday.

I doubt if there are any atheists out there who reads my blog. Someone who can understand the way I am right now. And if you’re a Christian, sure, you’ll see me as a devil too.

In the end, where I realized the only thing that could stop my Christian family is for me to stop and to say what they want me to say. and that is, I believe in God. Denying everything that I’m against with, and join them.

If killing myself is just so easy.

My Classmates and Christianity.

Posted by Michael Jacob | Tuesday, April 14, 2009

It's my 16th day in the Philippines and my first time in almost 1 month of blogging. Unlike bloggers who don't post anymore because they have nothing to do in their lives, I for one did so many stuff this past moth. I went home to the Philippines, I got my yearbook, my high school classmates had a reunion, and most importantly, and the reason why am I blogging right now, is that, I have debated with my fellow classmates about Christianity.

It was such a blast talking personally to other people rather than my sister in Thailand. You know, debating is tougher, because you probably will here new stuff you have not encountered yet. But the hardest of all, is that, when you're all alone, and there's so many of them.

THEY CONTRADICT THEMSELVES.

We went to my classmates house last April 4th. My mission is not really to debate, but to see my friends that I have not seen for more than one year. But I don't know how it started, but eventually we did debated. Three of them are arguing against me. They said that I don't have a stand, and they have, which is, that the Christian God is true.

Well, first I said I stand with evolution. They also said that they believe in evolution, but not that with we came from a single cell organism. They believe in evolution where only the mind is evolving. No physical changes whatsoever.

I didn't got where did they got that evolution only happens in the mind. That's like saying that a processor upgrades it's performance, without really changing it's chip. That's not evolution. That is impossible. Plus, if they believe in that so much, how come there's no explanation on the bible on that?

Next is I have told them about the bible telling us that the earth is 6,000 years old. They can't believe themselves. They have the rational explanation, where "you can't be so sure that the bible really tells that!" Um hello! They believe that human beings didn't evolved from monkey like creatures, but they DON'T believe that the earth is 6000 years old. How weird is that!

THEY'RE HAPPY WHEN THEY THINK THEY'RE WINNING.

I forgot what is their question about evolution, but ultimately my answer is "I am uncertain." and then, they burst into joy. They're like saying, "At last! We beat you! Wohoo! God is true! I love God! Wohoo!!!"

Sorry about that quote. They never really said that. But it is true that they were happy when I said I'm uncertain. Here's what I say on that. Them, on my very first stand on getting evidence on their being certain about God and they only said, "FAITH" where on me, there is thousands, if not millions of evidence of evolution, but I humbly said I'm uncertain, then isn't that unfair?

But the most unfair of all is that

THEY THINK IT IS INSULTING TO DEBATE TO THEM, AND RESPECT.

My whole time of debating to my classmates, and to other people as well, is that they're telling me to stop, most of the time where they have nothing to say anymore, and they will tell me that I am disrespectful, and just respect their religion.

But what about me? They know I'm an atheist, and some of my friends forced me to go to their church. They know I'm an atheist but still they are saying to me "God Bless You!" where they know that the devil and God means no difference to me. I know they said "We just want the best for you!" But what about me? Don't I want the best of you? But when it comes to me I'm INSULTING? When it comes to me I need to stop, but when it comes to you and all your God quotes, 4 simultaneous channels on TV preaching about Christianity and churches that do not support on reproductive health bill, etc. Don't I want them to stop too? Don't I want respect too???

You might say, "So we're even, and all we can do is respect each other." No we're not. Unlike you, I can stop debating, but you can't stop on saying that there is a God can you? You can't stop being certain that there is a God, or even doubt about your beliefs and consider others. You can never doubt can you? But if you did, then good for you.

You might think I'm insane, huh? I am not.
